What to expect as a member of the Storm Cheer!

Storm coaches spend the first couple of weeks teaching the girls/boys all of the cheer basics that they will need in order to step out on the field and cheer at each of their football teams games and get both the football players and crowd pumped. The girls also spend a fun filled, action packed weekend at cheer camp. Our cheer coaches are trained in cheer safety at the beginning of the season. Each of our cheer coaches are committed to teaching cheer in a safe and fun environment that emphasizes on cheer basics, choreography and working together as a team. We also have Jr. coaches (High School Students) that also assist us in coaching.

Storm has a strong history of producing Championship squads

Storm’s Cheer program has been the PAL Champions for 10 years from our various levels. Our Jr Varsity team has been undefeated through 2012. The 2012/2013 season our teams took home the Gold and swept our competition away. Although our Mighty Mites don’t compete for placement, they looked fantastic showing off their cheer moves.  The Storm Cheerleaders were also proud competitors at the 2010 JAMZ Regional Cheer and Dance Competition in San Francisco and also at the 2010 JAMZ National Cheer and Dance Competition in Las Vegas.

Storm Cheer is more than just league ambassadors, we are part of the Community!

Storm cheer actively gives back to our community. The girls have participated in the Cystic Fibrosis walk-a-thon put on by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the last two years. Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening genetic lung disease that affects children and teens. The event is hosted to raise nearly $100,000 for medical research for this devastating disease. In addition, Storm has recently participated in the Relay for Life fundraiser put on by the American Cancer Society. The relay is a fundraiser for ACS and 100% of the money raised goes to fight cancer, help people of all ages that have cancer and towards finding a cure.

We’re really excited about the 2018 season and are looking forward to another fantastic year.  Come out and cheer with the best in the west, the BLACK, GOLD, and WHITE….GO STORM!!
